Mn-doped Ge self-assembled quantum dots via dewetting of thin films

We report the new fabrication approach for producing a self- assembled Mn dpoed Ge quantum dots (QDs) on SiO2 thin film with a Curie temperature above room temperature. These magnetic QDs are crystalline, monodisperse and have a well-defined shape and a controlled size. The investigation opens new routes for elaboration of self-assembled magnetic nanocrystals
