Enhanced adhesion and proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells on conductive PANI-PCL fiber scaffold by electrical stimulation

Electrospun PCL fibers were subjected to an O2 plasma treatment to improve the hydrophilicity. PANI was coated onto the surface of PCL fibers successfully after the plasma treatment. HUVECs could attach, spread, and survive better on PANI-PCL fibers than on pure PCL fibers. Electrical stimulation benefited proliferation of HUVECs on conductive PANI-PCL scaffold.
