Trust in social media communication is investigated. Interpersonal communication, group communication and mass communication are compared. We recruit 115 WeChat users to conduct semi-structured interviews. Traffic light model and trust cognitive onion model are used to analyze data. Calculative based trust is proven to be important in WeChat communication.
