The study is based on mixed qualitative and quantitative methods. Few studies compared caregivers of persons with early- and late- onset dementia. All caregivers used both acceptance and avoidance strategies to manage difficulties. The statistical results showed few significant differences between the two groups. These comparisons will permit us to improve the efficiency of the support provided.
