An analytical model is presented in this paper to calculate the rate of packet losses as a consequence of violation of their delay limits. An enhancement is proposed to reduce packet losses by speeding up the feedback signaling. The performance is compared between the proposed scheme and ARROW via both theoretic results and practical ns-2 simulations. From numerical results, it is observed that the proposed analysis is quite accurate, and that the proposed scheduler can provide much higher capacity for video flows.
