CoFe2O4 quantum dots/N-doped graphene composites are successfully fabricated. Uniform CoFe2O4 nanocrystals of 4–12 nm are anchored on graphene nanosheets. The composites show a reversible capacity of 1233 mAh g−1 after 90 cycles. Improved performance results from the unique structure and quantum and size effects.
