Development of a selective prilocaine optical sensor based on molecularly imprinted shell on CdTe quantum dots

A new optical sensor is developed to measure trace amount of prilocaine. The method is based on thioglycolic acid capped CdTe quantum dot. Fluorescence quenching upon aggregation was accrued with increasing the concentration of prilocaine. Protamine could be measured in the range of 5.5–260 nmol L−1 with a LOD of 0.0 nmol L−1.
