The manuscript describes the first Michael addition based CL assay for determination of aminothiol in human urine. The method is highly selective and sensitive compared to the reported methods; it proceeds in simple and very short time at RT. The work introduced quinones as a promising CL reagent for thiols and other compounds to be applied in clinical chemistry.
