AD had: higher C17-hydroxylase activity at lower HSD3B2 activity.

lower conversion of 17-OH-progesterone to cortisol, backdoor pathway was indicated.

higher activity of the C17,20 lyase metabolic step and lower SULT2A1 activity.

Prediction with high predictivity for AD model was built from 10 serum steroids.
