Simple, rapid and cost-effective microwave method has been applied to synthesized Fe3O4 nanoparticles anchored N-doped MWCNTs. Tuning of microwave irradiation time and power shows the different amount of Fe3O4 loading on MWCNTs. The attachment of Fe3O4 nanoparticles on N-doped MWCNTs were without use of any strong acids. Enhanced magnetic properties were found in N-doped MWCNTs as compared to Fe3O4 anchored pristine MWCNT.
