Explicit analytic formulas for the evolution of Raman-induced frequency shift are derived in the case of non-soliton pulses. Dynamics of non-soliton ultrashort pulses in the cases of positive and zero group dispersion is considered. The deceleration and the saturation of Raman-induced frequency shift are analyzed. The calculation relies on the moment method and fit well to the numerical solution of the nonlinear wave equation.
