The management of the Albian aquifer in the Paris Basin requires a good knowledge of the circulation and recharge conditions. In the Paris area, where the cone of pressure relief is maximum, our chemical and isotopic study shows a supply from the Neocomian deeper water. This upward vertical flow from the Neocomian within the Albian must be taken into account in future hydrogeological models of the Albian aquifer in the Paris Basin.
