A one parameter kinetic equation describes the photocatalytic reaction of formic acid. The average rate of photon absorption can be evaluated by fitting experimental data. A strategic choice of the values of independent variables is highly advisable. Photodifferential reactors simplify the analysis of slurry photocatalytic reactions.
