This work proposes the study of the influence of plies layout techniques applied in a scale reduction of a laminated composite structure which is solicited in fast dynamics. By its various advantages, the scale reduction represents a significant stake for the engineer. An experimental campaign is carried out on an omega form structure. The generated conclusions demonstrate the effectiveness of similarity technique. Specifically, relations of similarity seem to be meaningful and able to reproduce the same modes of ruin damage.
