NASPA Program has been installed by the Regional Council of Nord-Pas de Calais in 1998. This program was conducted by different research laboratories (LAMIH, Laboratoire d'Automatique, Mécanique et Informatique Industrielles et Humaines, l'INRETS, Institut National de Recherche sur les Transports et leur Sécurité, l'ONERA, Office National de Recherche Aéronautique, l'IRCN, Institut de Recherche de la Construction Navale) and representatives of industry (ALSTOM-Transports, BOMBARDIER-Transports, STRATIFORME, VISTEON) with objectives concerning passive safety for passengers of planes, cars, trains or ships. This program has been realized by a consortium with members coming from different French regions. It has been financed by the Nord-Pas de Calais Regional Council, the European fund FEDER and by representatives of industry.
