T. pretiosum respiratory activity reduced O2 to 2.4% and increased CO2 to 16.5% in rearing vials. Low O2 and high CO2 caused death of immature parasitoids. T. pretiosum immature viability, parasitism behavior and life span were all negatively affected. Rearing facilities should be ventilated to maintain the quality of this biological control agent.
