Invasive longhorn beetle species have recently invaded Europe from Asia. As larvae lives inside trunks control is difficult. Sclerodermus species can be deployed effectively against longhorn pests in China. A European Sclerodermus can attack and develop on all three invader species. Sclerodermus brevicornis could be used in mass-rearing and release programs.
