The efficient synthesis of the proposed structure of rennellianone B was presented. The first practical example of the Claisen rearrangement of anthraquinonyl propargyl ether toward 2H-pyranoanthraquinone. Study on the rearrangement of anthraquinonyl propargyl ether toward pyranoanthraquinone skeleton was also described.
