A novel small NgR1 antagonist peptide NAP2 (MW: 815.98 Da) was identified from a phage display library.
NAP2 could reduce the Nogo-66-mediated inhibition of neurite outgrowth by blocking the activation of ROCK, CRMP2 and MLC.
NAP2 binds to NgR1 and the dissociation constant (Kd) was 0.45 μM.
