Exergy analysis quantifies and prioritises energy sources for waste heat recovery. Closed form solutions for thermoelectric systems give first guidance on performance. CFD calculations are effective in predicting TEG power output for engines. The plate fin heat exchange design provides a benchmark example for TEG design. “Scalable” TEG performance prediction is fast enough for “real time” simulation.
