The long-term resistance mechanisms, critical irrigation threshold and relief capacity shown by Eugenia myrtifolia plants in response to saline reclaimed water
The use of RWs such as alternative water resource is a current promising strategy. Phytotoxic ions in the substrate provoked salt stress in Eugenia plants. RW1 containing low salinity level (EC = 2.97 dS m−1) can be used for plant irrigation. At long-term, RW2 and RW3 provoked the plant's death despite a salinity relief period. RW3 let to know what resistance mechanisms display Eugenia to cope with salinity.
