An integrated AMBBR and IFAS-SBR process is proposed to treat municipal wastewater. 90% of dissolved methane is recovered from the AMBBR effluent. Enhanced energy harvest, and reduced energy input & sludge production are achieved. WWTPs may achieve energy-neutral or positive operation via the A-B process.
