Boron nitride (BN)-modified bismuth oxychloride materials have been synthesized via a facile microwave-assisted method. The photocatalytic performance of the graphene-like BN/BiOCl materials was evaluated by Cr(VI) reduction with visible light. The enhanced light-harvesting ability and higher separation efficiency of photogenerated electron–hole pairs of BN/BiOCl.
