A photosensitive semiconducting polymer (SP) was applied in electrospun nanofibrous scaffold.
The SP-incorporated scaffold could promote cell proliferation upon light stimulation.
The designed photosensitive SP could be applied as functional material with low cost and high durability in skin tissue engineering.
