A preliminary archaeological assessment of extensive LIDAR data transects collected by environmental scientists over southern Mexico.
These data present analytical challenges, but offer the most extensive LIDAR transect of land use zones available to Mesoamerican archaeologists.
The scale and the scope of these data require a next phase of research including archaeologists and natural systems scientists in each bio-cultural zone covered.
