ECAP at 573 K provided a +140% increase in the yield stress of AlMgScZr alloy. The strengthening mechanisms are discussed in the relationship between the deformation structure and the YS. The increment of yield stress takes place due to intensive grain refinement and increase of dislocation density. Effect of ECAP on yield stress is described by the “composite” Hall-Petch relationship σ0.2=155+αMGbρ1/2+0.11×dGB−1/2.
