EPSs obtained from bacterial strain R. opacus and R. rhodochrous were investigated. They were used as biosorbents for different metal ions removal from water. Cd(II), Pb(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Cr(VI) ions removal were investigated. The static sorption capacities oscillate around 1.5 mmol/g for all studied metal ions. Temperature increase above 35 °C reduces the adsorption.
