Specific identification of single cell bacteria was achieved by simple MIP technique.

For such purpose, GO-Ag@ZnO nanocomposite was use as platform.

Detection of bacteria was done though indirect electrochemical method.

The imprinted polymer can able to remove 98% of bacteria in a single-step.

The polymer was also used for 100% killing of bacterial strain via photothermal therapy.
