Electrocatalytic activity of bimetallic PdAu nanostructure supported on nanoporous stainless steel surface using galvanic replacement reaction toward the glycerol oxidation in alkaline media
Cu was simultaneously replaced by Pd and Au to form bimetallic PdAu nanostructure. The PdAu surface is composed of two parts of a non-alloyed gold and a PdAu alloy. PdAu exhibits a remarkable electrocatalytic activity for glycerol oxidation. The presence of non-alloyed gold improves the catalytic activity of PdAu. There is an increase in intrinsic catalytic activity of PdAu.
