Neogenin is preferentially expressed in the low regeneration capacity neurons. Downregulation of Neogenin enhances the axonal regeneration after SCI. Lamprey neurons co-express multiple receptors (Neogenin, UNC5 and PlexinA). The regeneration depends on co-expression of chemorepulsive guidance receptors.
