Numerical investigation of residual thermal stresses in welded joints of heterogeneous steels with account of technological features of multi-pass welding
A 2D model is developed for residual stresses calculations at multi-pass welding. It is shown that the residual stresses affect the strain localization in welds. Numerical model based on variational statement for heat transfer problem is described. Results of quasi-static modeling of termoplastic steel behavior are discussed. A model of the thermoplastic behavior of steel with phase transitions is proposed.
