Gold nanoparticles were synthesized using Musa paradisiaca fruit peel extract (MPPE-AuNPs). MPPE-AuNPs were characterized by UV–Vis spectroscopy, XRD, FTIR, TEM, EDX and Zeta potential distributions. MPPE-AuNPs showed effective control of multiple antibiotic resistant E. faecalis biofilms. MPPE-AuNPs showed in vitro anticancer activity against human A549 lung cancer cells. MPPE-AuNPs were non-toxic to freshwater microcrustacean C. cornuta.
