New symmetrical chiral ionic liquids based on (1R,2S,5R)-(−)-menthol were synthesized. 1H and 13C NMR spectra indicated notable differences in the chemical shifts depending on the anion used. The most pronounced shielding abilities were noted for the bis(pentafluoroethylsulfonyl)imide and dicyanamide salts.
