The blade fatigue testing time can be considerably reduced by a combination of several eigenmodes.

The energy demand can be reduced by the simultaneous excitation at different eigenfrequencies.

The excitation of several eigenfrequencies produces a more realistic damage evolution where the omission of tuning masses preserves the original stiffness-to-mass ratio of the blade.

Existing testing equipment can easily be adapted to the requirements of the novel approach.
