An increased percentage of Th17 cells in peritoneal fluid is associated with the severity of endometriosis.

The percentage of Th17 cells in peritoneal fluid was significantly higher in patients with severe endometriosis compared with women with a minimal/mild stage of the disease.

We found a positive correlation between the percentage of Th17 cells in peritoneal fluid and white blood cell count in the peripheral blood of women affected by endometriosis.
