Synthesis, structure, DNA/protein binding, and cytotoxic activity of a rhodium(III) complex with 2,6-bis(2-benzimidazolyl)pyridine
文摘
A new Rh(III) complex was synthesized with 2,6-bis(2-benzimidazolyl)pyridine. The complex shows a groove interaction with DNA. The van der Waals interactions and hydrogen bonds play major roles in the binding of the complex to BSA. The cytotoxicity of the complex against the MCF-7 and HT-29 cell lines is higher than cisplatin. The complex has more interaction energy with DNA and BSA in comparison to the free ligand.
