Muscarinic, nicotinic and GABAergic receptor signaling differentially mediate fat-conditioned flavor preferences in rats

Corn oil (CO) elicited robust conditioned flavor preferences (CFP) in rats. Muscarinic or nicotinic receptor antagonism marginally reduced CO-CFP expression. GABAB receptor agonism marginally reduced CO-CFP expression. Muscarinic cholinergic antagonism eliminated acquisition of CO-CFP. CO-CFP acquisition was unaffected by nicotinic antagonism or GABAB agonism.
