We obtained seismic profiles on the SE continental shelf of the Korean Peninsula. We identified a fault system that deformed Quaternary sequences. The fault system consists of a main fault and an array of Riedel shears. The offshore fault is an extension of the Yangsan fault. The inferred stress field represents the present tectonic regime in NE Asia.
