文摘
Roughness effect on corrosion and fretting corrosion of titanium is studied. A critical roughness ∼43 nm is brought out to reduce the corrosion of titanium. Surface energy is shown to be an important parameter to influence the corrosion. Fretting corrosion current density is determined for simulation of fretting damage. Potential drop during fretting corrosion is simulated to predict the worn surface.
