Cavitation activity in the sonoreactor and at the substrate was studied by SL and SCL imaging.

Sample position, orientation and material properties affect cavitation distribution at solid surface.

Experimental results are in good correlation with 2D numerical simulations.

Optimal sample to transducer position for uniform cavitation activity at the solid surface is proposed.
