Evaluating data quality in GPS tracking vehicle movement using various receivers and techniques. Vehicle trajectories recorded by recreational-grade GPS limit to low spatial resolution. DGPS and RTK techniques by professional receivers can raise accuracy to decimetre to centimetre. RTK postprocessing generates optimal vehicle trajectories for vehicle lane position and speed. The efficacy of GPS tracking should be considered prior to engaging a GPS in driving studies.
