Paleomagnetic and 40Ar/39Ar data were acquired for 84 eruptive units in WA and OR. These new data generally agree with established geomagnetic polarity boundaries. The Gauess-Matuyama reversal and Olduvai onset, however, began significantly earlier. Our result favors secular variation models having constant dispersion with latitude.
