The albedo of full-scale asphalt pavements of known age was used to calibrate an aging albedo model.

Albedo was found to increase rapidly in the first few years and reach a steady state value thereafter.

A pavement life cycle assessment showed that static albedo could overestimate global warming potential by as much as 25%.

The albedo of a flowable fibrous concrete section was also measured. Fibers covered in cement paste did not affect albedo.

The albedo of the fibers was 0.07, which would affect the pavement if they became exposed due to abrasion.
