Three late Mesozoic (168–109 Ma) plutons in NW Fujian consist of I-type granites.
They exhibit variable elemental and isotopic compositions and have multiple origins.
They formed in a continental arc setting related to Paleo-Pacific plate subduction.
Progressive slab rollback is the most likely mechanism for their generation.
