Full CFD modelling of an EDI+GPI dual-fuelled engine was performed.

Effects of EDI timing and ratio on mixture formation and combustion were evaluated.

Late EDI timing deteriorated combustion by increased wall-wetting and uneven mixture.

The CO and HC increased with late injection due to local over-cooling and poor mixing.

Wall-wetting and incomplete combustion of late injection can be solved by small EDI ratio.
