The prediction of rotor phenomena requires the concurrency of several disciplines, from aeroelasticity to structural dynamics, from aerodynamics to aeroacoustics. Within each discipline a number of specialist codes have been developed; they are focused on the aspects of the global phenomenology which are best treated by that discipline while approximations are made for the concurrent disciplines. The Brite/EuRam ROSAA project aimed at the development of an integrated system where specialist codes can be connected so that the exchange of data among codes provides the best knowledge from each discipline for an improved prediction.
