New use for succinylated sugarcane bagasse containing adsorbed Cu2+ and Ni2+: Efficient catalysts for gas-phase n-hexane and n-heptane oxidation reactions
New use of spent adsorbents (2MSBACu and 2MSBANi) for gas-phase alkanes oxidation. The amount of Cu2+ and Ni2+ adsorbed on modified bagasse was 0.49 and 2.49xA0;mmol g−1. The temperature for the 50% n-hexane conversion was 160 °C over 2MSBACu. The temperature for the 50% n-heptane conversion was 170 °C over 2MSBACu. Catalysts have improved performances compared to those reported in the literature.
