Analysis of complete genome sequences of G9P[19] rotavirus strains from human and piglet with diarrhea provides evidence for whole-genome interspecies transmission of nonreassorted porcine rotavirus
Nucleotide sequences of all 11 genome segments of human G9P[19] were closely releated to those of G9P[19] porcine rotavirus. Both strains were more closely related to porcine and porcine-like human rotaviruses than to human reference strains. The findings provide evidence for whole-genome interspecies transmission of G9P[19] porcine rotavirus to human.
