The mechanisms of Higee for enhancing wastewater treatment have been introduced. Integration of Higee with other technologies is presented and discussed. The advantages and challenges using Higee for wastewater treatment are assessed. Perspectives for advancing Higee-enhanced wastewater treatment are proposed.
