Rubidium of distinctive kaolin was extracted from a novel chlorination roasting process. The extraction yield reached a maximum of 96.95%. The high extraction yield resulted from Ca(Al2Si2O8) phase formation and liquid-solid reaction. Extraction rate of rubidium was controlled by the chemical reaction.
